MilDef wins orders from BAE Systems

BAE Systems has placed an order valued at SEK 15 million (£1.15m) with MilDef to deliver rugged computers to support maintenance systems for military aircraft.

MilDef will deliver 90 rugged RB14 laptop computer to BAE Systems’ Air business by the end of 2022.

The equipment will be used to support the maintenance of fast jet fleets for BAE Systems global customers, providing airworthiness information to support teams ensuring the availability of aircraft.

A BAE Systems spokesman added:

“The delivery of this equipment from MilDef will enable our global customer base to ensure they have the necessary airworthiness data about their fleet. By doing this we can ensure aircraft are available for our customers where they are needed, when they are needed to deliver critical national security.”
