MilDef has signed an initial production contract from Astronics Corporation, a provider of advanced technologies for global aerospace, defense and mission critical industries. This contract integrates MilDef’s computing platform within the Astronics portable radio test suite being provided to U.S. Marine Corps’ (USMC) Handheld Radio Test Sets Program (HHRTS).

MilDef wins contract with FMV covering new BMS infrastructure for amphibious support vessels

MilDef’s Swedish integration business has won a three-year contract to digitalize one of the amphibious corps’ support vessels, known as Lätt Trossbåt. The project is part of the larger framework agreement that MilDef signed with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration in 2022. In total, the infrastructure for battle management systems will be upgraded and installed in sixteen vessels to a value of SEK 37 million.

MilDef now accelerates US ambitions by consolidating MilDef Inc and recently acquired Handheld operations, under one strong and focused unit. By doing so MilDef’s total US footprint is doubled, and the product offering is substantially widened for increased reach into the military, government as well as the critical infrastructure domains. Jim Rimay, today CEO Handheld US Inc, will take on the leadership of all MilDef’s activities in the US, starting in July 2023.

MilDef secures extension of framework agreement with Norwegian Defense Material Agency (NDMA)

MilDef has signed an extension of its framework agreement with the Norwegian Defense Material Agency (NDMA). The contract, originally signed in in May 2020, has now been extended for an additional two years, from 2023 to 2025.
